WATCHES & JEWELLERY

SalonQP – The Hottest Show in Town

The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea is opening its doors less than a week from now for the annual SalonQP. It promises an even more event-packed schedule than the previous years. Alongside the well-known brands the smaller independent manufactures will also be presenting their horological creations.

It is a must for anyone with interest in the field. A unique chance to speak with the actual people behind some of the brands and gain a unique behind the scenes insight directly form the people involved in making the timepieces.

Since its launch in 2009 we have seen several virtually unknown manufacturers leap into the spotlight having exhibited at SalonQP. 2016 is likely to repeat the scoop of 1st views, launches, whispers about future collaborations and sneak previews of prototypes “under the table”.

Visitors can try their hands in workshops or attend one of the several seminars and panel discussions taking place.

We especially look forward to the presentation by modern day lume-alchemist James Thomson of Black Badger Advanced Composites, conversation with Kari Voutilainen (in association with Quill & Pad), Robert Loomes’ journey towards producing his latest watch, the Stamford, and the panel discussion on How to start a watch brand.
